About Brookland Autos
Brookland Autos is an independent, family run business that has been repairing, servicing and MOT testing cars and light commercial vehicles in the Dereham area for over 30 years. John Mead
Proprietor
John began his career in the motor trade in 1987 at L G Aves & Son, a small independent garage near Watton, learning his trade there over the next ten years. After 3 years spent working as a mobile engineer from a fully equipped service van on customers own premises, he had more work than he could cope with, and took on fixed workshop facilities at Carbrooke.
John again outgrew his premises and took over Brookland Autos in 2009. Since then the business has continued to grow, and has a large and loyal customer base.
John enjoys being active, and takes part in many outdoor pursuits, particularly cycling. He also enjoys beating Scott at snooker
Joe Snell
Technician / MOT tester
Joe worked his apprenticeship from 2007 - 2010, joining Busseys Ford in Dereham, and became fully qualified as an MOT examineer in 2011. He joined Brrokland Autos in 2017, and is thoroughly enjoying the new challenges, the chance to apply his skills to a wide range of situations, and being able to interact more closely with customers.
Joe is A/C trained and fully up to date with all modern cars, and is well versed in the use of the latest diagnostic equipment. He is thorough and tenacious, and will not rest until he has rectified even the smallest problem.
Joe has a young family, and enjoys cycling, swimming and rugby (just watching now - his playing days with Holt RUFC are alas now over).
Scott Hollings
Technician / MOT tester
Scott began his apprenticeship at Busseys Ford in 2002, and became a fully qualified Ford Senior Technician in 2012. He is an qualified MOT examiner, A/C qualified and has passed a wide variety of courses on all aspects of vehicle servicing. He takes pride in fully conversant with modern vehicle technologies. Scott joined Brookland Autos in September 2017.
Scott is a keen carp fisherman, and enjoys running. He also likes playing snooker, but feels it is a career enhancing move to allow his boss John to win.
